Junior Project Manager
We're hiring a Junior Project Manager to keep Kernex Cloud and Kernex Solutions projects moving
We're hiring a Junior Project Manager to keep Kernex Cloud and Kernex Solutions projects moving: planning work, tracking progress, coordinating engineers and contractors, and keeping stakeholders informed. You will work directly with the General Director and learn project delivery across infrastructure rollout, platform development and client implementations.
Responsibilities
• Plan and track project scope, timelines, milestones and deliverables in Jira (or a similar tool)
• Run daily stand-ups, sprint planning, demos and retrospectives with the engineering team
• Coordinate infrastructure work with internal engineers, equipment vendors and contractors (procurement, delivery, installation schedules)
• Maintain the project backlog together with technical leads; break work into clear, estimated tasks
• Prepare weekly status reports, meeting notes and decision logs for management and clients
• Track budgets, hours and resource allocation against plan; flag deviations early
• Identify and log risks, dependencies and blockers, and follow up until they are resolved
• Act as day-to-day contact for Kernex Solutions clients: gather requirements, confirm acceptance criteria, handle change requests
• Keep project documentation current: technical specifications (ТЗ), contract annexes, acceptance acts, internal wikis
• Support the team on proposals, estimates and investor or partner materials when needed
Requirements
• 0.5–2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Junior PM, Scrum Master, BA or similar role in an IT company — or strong project experience from university, internships or volunteering
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile/Scrum basics
• Hands-on experience with at least one task tracker (Jira, ClickUp, Trello, Asana) and with Google Workspace or MS Office, especially spreadsheets
• Basic technical literacy: you know what servers, virtual machines, networks and cloud services are, and you're keen to learn more
• Clear, structured written and spoken communication
• Ukrainian — fluent; English — Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
• Organised, reliable with deadlines, and comfortable owning follow-ups without being reminded
• Degree in IT, engineering, management or a related field — or equivalent practical experience
Nice to have
• Exposure to infrastructure, hosting, data center or telecom projects
• Familiarity with cloud concepts (IaaS, VPS, Kubernetes, backups, SLAs) or platforms like AWS, Azure or Hetzner
• Experience with budgeting, estimates or tender/procurement documentation
• Basic knowledge of Confluence, Notion, Miro or MS Project
• Certificates or courses: PSM I, Google Project Management, PMI CAPM, or similar
What we offer
• Hybrid schedule in Lviv with flexible working hours
• 18 working days of paid vacation plus paid sick leave
• Direct mentoring from senior management and a clear growth path to Project Manager
• Budget for courses and certifications (PSM, PMI, cloud)
• Real impact: building Ukrainian cloud infrastructure from an early stage
• Laptop and the tools you need to do the work
Sounds like you? We’d love to hear from you.
